After spending a winter too many in the Midwest, artist Drew Metzger made the journey out to California. The trip landed him in the sun-soaked Coachella Valley where he has lived since 2005. Metzger held weekly figure drawing classes at his Palm Desert art studio, before taking a six-month safari to southern Africa, where he captured some stunning wildlife and landscape shots with his old Canon.
While he still considers himself a painter at heart, upon his return Metzger began exploring photography. Aptly named Trespass Photography, his work pushes boundaries and arouses emotion. Metzger’s artistic flare has transformed corporate outreach materials and helped tell stories for agencies across Southern California.
When Metzger is not uploading and processing photos, he enjoys daytrips in his Jeep Wrangler, oil painting, and playing with his dog, Montana.
