Isla Mujeres, Mexico
The island of women.
Located in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Cancun.
Wikipedia says it got its name because in Pre-Columbian times the island was sacred to the goddess "Ix Chel." I like the story we were told more. When the Spanish arrived, all of the men were out fishing and doing their normal provider jobs during the day. All the Spanish could find on the island were women. Hence, Isla Mujeres. I suppose the Wikipedia version makes more sense, unless they named the island within the few hours while the guys were gone.
